Vero Beach 100 Poster and Shirt
Sunshine, citrus, and celebration, oh my! I created shirt and poster designs to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Vero Beach, Florida. If you want a shirt for yourself, you can find it here.
Note: the sponsors on the Bike Vero poster are only used as representational sponsors, because of their history with Vero Beach. The poster was made for a personal project and they are not affiliated with it.
MC Christmas Card
This is a custom Christmas card I designed for my small group (missional community, or MC) at my church.

Ingrained in it are references to memories and activities we participated in throughout the year, favorite locations, and stories. An ice cream cone, illustration of our favorite coffee shop, and ichthus are just examples of some of the details.

All around the border, in tiny type (just big enough to read in person) are sayings, memories, and parts of our individual and corporate experiences that have been a part of our small group life. It's hard to explain the warmth felt when I gave the card to my friends and watched their eyes light up as they saw the hidden memories.
The History of Symbols Brochure
What were the first symbols created, ever? How did we get to where we are today in the world of symbols?

I designed gate fold monochromatic brochure based off a speech I gave on the history of symbols, from prehistoric to modern. Everything except the body text and my logo on the back is hand illustrated.

Taking a 6+ minute speech and translating it into a condensed print version was a challenge, but a rewarding one. To hold the finished product after several very late nights working on it was a satisfying victory and ending to the design process.
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty Poster
One of my favorite movies (right behind The Lord of The Rings) is the Secret Life of Walter Mitty. The film boasts an inspiring story, beautiful soundtrack, and stunning visuals. As the character discovers, "Walter Mitty: To see the world, things dangerous to come to, to see behind walls, draw closer, to find each other, and to feel. That is the purpose of life."

Type and Design Book
Typography has an interesting history, and that is the topic I explored in this project. It is a 24 page, full color, glossy booklet.

I began with type classifications (Blackletter, Egyptian, Traditional serif, and more), elaborated on each, and walked the reader through the history of all things type.

I used a warm yellow as the accent color and ran a gradated, striped, curvy line to connect each page visually. Below are some examples of different spreads in the book.
Hallelujah Here Below Poster and Shirt
A line art design based off one of my favorite songs, Hallelujah Here Below by Elevation Worship.
